RCF Update: August 5th, 2021
Dear RCF members,
We hope you have been having a great week and wanted to give you another update.
We are asking that everyone wear masks while inside during the entirety of the Sunday gathering. To be clear, this means that we are asking both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals to do so.
Why? Due to the recent COVID surge in our local churches and in Humboldt County as a whole. As you know some of our local churches have had members be hospitalized in the last few weeks. Masking up and making changes to our schedule temporarily, is a simple way for us to love our brothers, sisters, and neighbors and potentially reduce transmission.
We plan to resume Sunday School on August 15th with a few changes. While the kids are inside during the lesson we are asking all teachers and all kids to be masked, yet when they go outside they can play unmasked. As far as other church-related activities go, your community group and/or Bible-study leader will let you know when and how that resumes.
While in the process of drafting this update, the County Public Health Officer has stated that the county will be going back to universal masking. The article can be found here.
Lastly, we’ve been having problems accessing our Facebook page for some time. (We can’t even delete it!) We have started a new one here. We encourage you to follow us at the new one for updates and to no longer follow the old page. Please share that with your church family and your Facebook friends.
We know these are wild times. Please pray for us and for one another. Our prayer for you is that “all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul” (3 John 1:2).
See you Sunday.
